SUMMER RESEARCH INIATIVE

Summer internship for high-acheiving students interested in pursuing independent research in the areas of engineering, physics, and computer science, among others. This is a 8-week virtual program for high school students across the United States where projects will be pursued in groups of 3-4 individuals each and culminate in both a research presentation at our Annual AstroGEN - NSSEA Research Symposium and in the AstroGEN Research Journal.

ASTEROID DISCOVERY CAMPAIGN

A program in collaboration with the International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC) with recurring monthly campaigns to contribute in the identification and classification of asteroids and other celestial objects using novel astronomical data provided by NASA. This collaboration with IASC with AstroGEN has been done in multiple countries over multiple monthly campaigns, with over 100 students having participated.

INTERNATIONAL ASTROGEN ENGINEERING CHALLENGE

A student-open engineering challenge hosted by AstroGEN, on an annual basis, for innovation in engineering and engineering research. With over 450 participants in 2023 and 2024 from over 15 different countries, the AstroGEN Engineering Challenge is an international competition that is both rigorous and of a format unlike any other, pushing engineering research for students to new bounds. Register by October 30th to participate in the 2024-2025 IAEC.
